Partner Nodes: errors & troubleshooting

This article covers common issues when using Partner Nodes.

Q. I can't find the Partner Nodes

Partner Nodes may not appear if you're running an older ComfyUI version.

Try:

  • Updating to the latest nightly or desktop version

  • Restarting ComfyUI after updating

Please note that the stable release channel may lag behind nightly.

Q. I can't log in or it keeps asking me to log in

Partner Nodes require authentication and a supported connection.

Please check:

  • You're signed in to your Comfy account

  • You're accessing ComfyUI from 127.0.0.1 or localhost over HTTPS

  • If using LAN or a non-whitelisted site, use a Comfy account API key

  • Your environment can reach Comfy services (some regions may require a proxy)

  • Your account has available credits

Q. Partner Nodes won't run or I'm out of credits

Partner Nodes require a positive credit balance.

To check or purchase credits:

  1. Open Settings

  2. Select Credits

If you recently completed payment and your balance hasn't updated:

  • Refresh the page

  • Restart ComfyUI

Please note that in some cases a completed run may temporarily result in a negative balance.

Q. Which API key should I use?

There are two different API keys:

  • Comfy account API key → Used for Partner Nodes authentication (for example on LAN or non-whitelisted environments)

  • Registry publishing API key → Used for publishing custom nodes only

Partner Nodes use the Comfy account API key.

Q. Still stuck?

If the issue continues after updating, logging in, and confirming available credits:

  • Note which Partner Node failed

  • Copy the exact error message

  • Include approximately when the issue occurred
